How lovely! Outstanding amount of a few Ks and there you go, an utterly useless page appear on my screen (after waiting for a very loOOooOOOo2oO8oo2oO9ong time, thx to DiGi for the so called ~~narrow~~broadband), @the very least, for me. I wonder how many RMs will they get from the blocked-students, for wanting to know their result or graduate who want their cert..none from me though, @least not now. Nasi Goreng Sayur Cili Padi (Fried rice)

(English entry)

Now2..this time my entry is on cooking..or recipe..sort of. Being a single guy with no lecture/tutorial to attend (mcm la dulu pegi pon), I had become quite a cook nowadays. It was one of my biggest ambition once..to be a great chef lol. Now lets talk about what I cooked today rather than whining about what my ambition was..

Ok. Here it is..the food/recipe of the day..NASI GORENG SAYUR CILI PADI. Why nasi goreng? Because I'm a lazy ass person..dont wanna mess my kitchen with all the periuks and other containers to cook asam pedas/gulai/sayur (plus I dont really know how to cook asam pedas :D), and then wash them..increasing H20 bill and wasting dishwashing liquids..plus wasting fishes and veggie for the lauk. So nasi goreng sayur cili padi is a perfect food for life under Paklah's (or KJ's?) reign..economy..yet tasty (u'll find later why its tasty..). And the most colorful part is here..the recipe (not the real one, its only used for today)..and the pics..

Recipe:

a)
- Nasi (rice)
- An egg
- Salt
- Ajinomoto
- About 2 teaspoon of oyster sauce
- Cooking oil

b)
- Ikan bilis (about 15-20 ekor) : more = better
- 3/4 onion (bawang besar : more = better : I'm using only 3/4 for being economy here)
- 3-4 garlic
- 3-4 cili padi (more and nazri cant eat your nasi goreng)
- 1 chilli
- A bit of belacan (or 2 bit or 3 bit or more - sesedap rasa :: optional)

c)
- 1 piece of kacang botol
- 3 stack of kacang panjang
- Half stick of carrot
- _ ________ of ______ (add any veggie u like in the free space)

Ready to be fried

Firstly..put all the b) ingredients in a lesung batu & lesungkan it all. Make sure it become very tiny bits or in other words tumbuk sampai hancur la, jgn tau nak blend je..xsedap do blend.

After lesung session, its time to cut2 down all the veggie. Make sure to cut it to very thin pieces to ensure it cooked in a very short time, thus saving your cooking gas and keeping our environment safe for our children's use.

Now its the time we were waiting for. Cooking time!

Put some oil into your frying pan a.k.a kuali..how much? aa lu pk sendiri.
Heat up the oil and then put all the tiny2 bits of ingredient b) in the pan, fry it for about 20 seconds.
Then fastly put the thin veggie into the pan. Add some salt and oyster sauce. Put 1 teaspoon of ajinomoto inside the pan (this is how i ensure my food to be tasty, u may adjust the volume of ajinomoto according to your preference).
Stir for about 30 seconds, put the egg..make sure u break it first. Then stir again for another 30 seconds.
Lastly put an appropriate amount of rice. Lets say..2 bowls? Stir it again and again and again until it become one with the fried ingredients (sebati).
There you go, the food of the day for your whole day. Its much cheaper than nasi goreng ayam sitik, it can be your food for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus it keeps our environment clean!
And..here is the results..presenting NASI GORENG SAYUR CILI PADI..

So guys, take out your pen, jot down the recipe on a piece of paper or CTRL+C & CTRL+V it into your harddrive. You cant find better food than this, with its ability to maintain the greenery of our earth, and the yummyness plus the satisfaction in your heart, this is a must cook food!

Then bila kereta sewa sampai, Ashkam still makan STRAWberi lagi, so kena tunggu dia la. Akhirnya Ashkam muncul..

1100 : Bergerak ke ATM, USM kafe.

3 keta nasional on the march. saga (Rambo, Pingu, Simah, Paih & Ashkam), Iswara (Arep, Anisah, Effa[adik arep], Diyana & Ipe) & kancil 660 pfftt (Meri, aku, Jawa, Nayi & Jep). Sampai2 kat kafe USM, kancil abis minyak. So..Iswara pi cari minyak..tunda lagi..

Aktiviti minum2 sementara tunggu minyak sampai (terserempak dgn Aishah)

1135 : Bergerak ke Batu Berangkai, Kampar.

Akhirnya..

1230 : Sampai, stat goreng2 & rebus2 hotdog & nugget (sandwich dah siap pagi2 lagi, thx to Effa, Diyana & Anisah)

Akhirnya sampai gak setelah merempuhi pelbagai halangan & hal2 yg tak dpt dielakkan. Upacara mandi2 bermula. Simah dgn aku stat masak dgn Simah sebagai ketua chef.

Ok. Its time for me to blog again. Been quite a while..since 11 December..just managed to copy & paste (CNA) only..quite blank actually on what to be written here. Well..since this blog itself entitled fTff news, might as well write something about fTff. Here it goes..the history of fTff..
What is fTff?

fTff is a Counter Strike (CS) clan. Based in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), the clan competing only in the tournaments held in the campus. Never had the opportunity to compete outside since the members live in different states (Johor, Kedah, Kelantan, Selangor, Sarawak etc..).

The existence of fTff

Once, a friend of mine (Temm a.k.a tembam a.k.a Jedi) had dinner with me in front of UTP. I guess it was July 2002 semester. He promoted Odan (Garlic) as a good CS player (will be known as dewa from now on) to me and then he said
"Aku pun dewa jugak."

He then asked me whether or not I have a clan. The answer was NO and he challenged me to gather 4 others and play against his team, AiG (consists of garlic, jedi, blackforest, zLunatic & shinobee).

So as I returned home, I gathered 4 of the dewa in my batch (UntaBaghdad, mata_killer, blade and kill_HONEY). The match had been scheduled and it was time for a do or die fraggin. To my frustation, Jedi himself dont wanna play because he was studying..and as for my clanmates, mata_killer declined to play and was substituted by PISANG.

So, it was decided. 5 of us vs garlic, gorgon, hoyo (3 of utp most dewast at that time) plus 2 others, which I had forgotten. Played on de_dust2 (CS 1.5) ..and the result..we were heavily beaten, only won 2 or 3 rounds..total domination from them. We cant even get past the tunnel to B with gorgon guarding the entrance from stage with an AWP! Well..thats our 1st match..and 1st batch of fTff..

Bin Laden niece in glamour shots

The niece of Osama Bin Laden has posed for provocative photographs for an American magazine.

Wafah Dufour, an aspiring musician and model, is the daughter of the al-Qaeda leader's half-brother Yeslam.

She appears stripped to ostrich feather lingerie, and in a bubble bath, in photos for American GQ magazine.

US-born, she says she is an American, and distances herself from her uncle. "Everyone relates me to that man, and I have nothing to do with him," she says.

Ms Dufour, 26, took her mother's maiden name after the events of 11 September 2001.

She lived in Saudi Arabia, where Bin Laden is from, until she was 10, before moving on to Geneva and back to the US.

'Like any New Yorker'

She says she never sees any of the extended Bin Laden clan, including her father.

"There are 400 other people related to him, but they are all in Saudi Arabia, so nobody's going to get tarred with it. I'm the only one here," she said.

Her father and Osama Bin Laden are among more than 50 children fathered by Mohammed Bin Laden, a Yemeni immigrant to Saudi Arabia, and construction magnate.

Ms Dufour was in Geneva when the 11 September 2001 attacks on the US, masterminded by her uncle, were launched.

She said: "I was freaking out, crying hysterically, watching this in horror. I was like 'Somebody's bombing my city, and I wanna go home!'"

"I was born in the States, and I want people to know I'm American, and I want people to understand that I'm like anyone in New York. For me, it's home," she said.

ATi attempts to regain the video crown after the R520 misfire.

Anandtech is reporting that, according to internal ATi documents, their up-coming GPU is going to be dubbed "X1900". The card will feature 16 pixel pipelines, each capable of shading 3 pixels at a time, resulting in a total pixel shader capability of 48. Be sure not to confuse pixel pipelines with pixel shaders, this card will NOT be 3 times as powerful as the X1800XT, but it will deffinatly have much greater performance. Additionally, the X1900 will be clocked at even higher clock speeds than the current X1800.

The X1900 is slated for late January release, along with the RD580 chipset platform. This platform will feature a revamped south bridge, which has been a problem on most ATi chipsets thus far. It will also have two 16x PCI-E slots, instead of the old 8x/8x scheme used for SLi and first-generation Crossfire.

Both the card and platform are schedueled for a simultaneous release, and are aimed straight at Nvidia in an attempt to regain the high-end performance crown, which Nvidia has held for the last six months.

Levy on CD-Rs would be unfair, say consumers



PETALING JAYA: Several Malaysian consumers are up in arms over a call by the Music Council of Malaysia (MMM) for a levy to be imposed on blank CD-Rs, which can be used by consumers to copy music CDs. Darshan Singh, National Consumer Complaints Committee chairman, said the MMM proposal is unfair to consumers. “Legitimate users shouldn't have to bear the extra cost just because certain people are using CD-Rs to infringe on copyright,” he said. Besides, he said, CD-Rs are used for more than making copies of music CDs; they are also used for computer backups and other forms of data storage. “It is unfair for the music industry to impose a blanket charge,” he added. No more fireball :: Goodbye Maxtor !

NEW YORK, Dec 21 (Reuters) - Computer disk drive supplier Seagate Technology (STX.N: Quote, Profile, Research) has agreed to buy rival Maxtor Corp. (MXO.N: Quote, Profile, Research) for $1.9 billion in stock, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The paper said the deal is expected to be unveiled later in the day, with Seagate planning to swap 0.37 of a Seagate share for each Maxtor share.

Under the terms of the deal, as reported by the Journal, the transaction is worth about $7.25 a share for Maxtor investors, a 60 percent premium to its closing price on Tuesday.

Both the Seagate and Maxtor boards have approved the deal, the paper reported, which will unit two big hard drive makers.

The Journal, citing people familiar with the deal, said the companies are likely to argue to antitrust regulators that consumers would benefit because of cost efficiencies, among other things.

Neither Seagate nor Maxtor representatives could be immediately reached for comment.

Exciting and winnable — that summed up Arsène Wenger’s feelings after Friday’s Champions League draw pitted his Arsenal side against Real Madrid.

The two teams have never met in European competition but that will change on Tuesday, February 21 when the Bernabeu hosts the first leg. Highbury holds the return game on Wednesday, March 8.

Perhaps Real are not at their flamboyant best right now. They are third in the Primera Liga and have not been in contention for Europe’s top honour in the last few years. As a result, Wanderley Luxemburgo, their fifth coach on 18 months, was sacked 10 days ago.

Its time for a copy & paste motivational story..sorry, no time to blog today..

THE DONKEY

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.

He invited all his neighbours to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.

A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well. He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up.
Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up!

Shake it off and take a step up!

UTP Mosque

Ok..since I'm not in mood to babble about computer stuffs again..let me introduce..Masjid terapung UTP. This is the first building u will ever met when entering from the main gate. Very nice..modern design. U can see the 'kubah' lit up during night. One of the landmarks of Trono..the other..off course the UFO or Chancellor Hall of UTP. Two levels. Fully air-conditioned. Can accomodate around 4000 peoples (ye ke?). But 40 peoples pon susah nak dpt..ngehehe..biasa la tu..budak2.. (Thx Haz for the pic..curik..hehe)

New but not so new

This 1 fella is bought from a forummer from a forum on the net, received yesterday evening. Aged about 1 year old, this 1 card scored quite a lot in 3dmark03 after being softmodded to 9800 Pro. For RM300, I think its quite a bargain for a softmoddable 9800 SE. My system level of 3d graphic increased to 5342 in 3dmark03. Quite a mark huh for an old, fully locked AMD Barton system??..

Now its time to give some information about my latest baby from a well known company in gaming mice series, Logitech. Its a MX-518 gaming-grade optical mouse, featuring 1600dpi with 3 sesnsitivity levels without driver. On-the-fly sensitivity adjustment, using 2 buttons near the scroll. Accidentally you can get killed in a CZ match while communicating using the scroll button :D..sounds scary huh? Thats al you need to know about the mouse specification. Dont want to bombard you with all those image processing, acceleration bla2.. Anyway it got super-slick gaming feet for effortless and precise tracking, especially when u combined it with gaming mousepad (func, exactmat, ripper like mine etc etc) and bingo! you are the god of FPS games! if combined with good training off course..

The look..about the same as MX-510 except for the 2 buttons for sensitivity adjustment and the middle body of it which coloured grey/silver. Looks gorgeous on my Xtrac Ripper with the black-silver colour combination. Bought at RM175 which is cheaper than market price, about RM20-RM30. Planning to use this mouse for a looonng time. But a good tempting offer might get rid this mouse off of me :P.

A very long time since I last wrote..guess my writing style is different now..

7.11 a.m. (GMT +08:00) Kuala Lumpur :: Havent sleep yet. Completed 4 maps of friendly Counter Strike matches (Condition Zero). Using my new secret weapons ; Logitech MX518 and Xtrac Ripper. Geez..this one mouse is quite heavy. You can tell the difference if you were using Microsoft Intellimouse before. Still in the stage of 'getting-use-to-it'. Guess it will take some times though. And the pad..a very nice and big pad indeed. All you need for your mousing surface is on the Ripper. Space, smoothness..plus it wont be rough to your mouse feets. So you wont need those additional mouse feets whatsoever..just make sure your mouse pad is clean before your gaming session and it will last for a long time..well at least it lasted long for my friends ;P.
